Your Guide for Using Metallic Paint in Your Home

In our previous blog, our experts went over a couple of the most popular ways to use Modern Masters metallic paint.  To recap, we talked about using metallic paint for all-over room coverage and accent walls. Nothing adds life to a room like metallic paint does, but it is all too easy to overdo it and end up with a less-than-pleasing result. That is why our experts have come up with the following list of a few more uses for metallic paint in your home:

  • Borders - There is no need to paint an entire wall with metallic paint. You can create dynamic, attention-grabbing borders with metallic paint. Metallic paint is an especially great option for homes with unique architectural details or decorative molding. This is a great option if you want to add some depth to a room more subtly than painting the entire thing with metallic paint.
  • Patterns - When it comes to metallic paint, in most cases, less is more. Because metallic paint is reflective, it can take patterns to a whole new level! Metallic paint will make patterns really stick out on your walls, especially if you choose to use gold and silvers for your stenciling. You can find a variety of beautiful  stencils right here at Mark's Paint Store!
  • Furniture - Do you have some pieces of furniture that look a little worse for the wear? You don't have to get rid of them and buy new furniture because you can make it look like new with metallic paint! Applying metallic paint to furniture can be tricky because brush lines tend to be quite visible on it, which is why we suggest applying it with either a chip brush or a sea sponge.
