#3. Decorate with mirrors.

Mirrors often get overlooked as a decorative piece, but they can make a huge difference, especially in a dark room. To maximize the light with mirrors, strategically hang them on the walls opposite your window. This will fill your dark room with natural light, plus it will make the room look and feel a lot larger!

#4. Draw attention to your windows.

Make your windows the center of attention in your dark room to make it appear lighter. One of the best ways to draw attention to the windows is by utilizing long curtains at the edge of the windows. This will also make the windows look bigger. Just make sure that you keep the curtains open!
